Travis Kelce liked a Shane Gillis Saturday Night Live monologue that drew criticism for disparaging comments about women.

Travis Kelce liked Shane Gillis' Saturday Night Live monologue on Instagram, prompting backlash from Taylor Swift fans on social media. The monologue, which sparked online outrage over the weekend, included Gillis making disparaging comments about female gym-goers and their fitness attire.

During the six-minute monologue, Gillis said: 'I haven't been to the gym in so long, I didn't realize women just dressed like whores now.' He continued with further commentary about gymwear, describing it as 'neon' and 'like artificial bait color', and referenced gym-goers filming social media content. Gillis also dropped an uncensored profanity during the show and apologised for the gaffe.

A source close to Kelce, 37, told the New York Post that 'he's always been a massive fan of the show and he was supporting a friend'. Gillis and Kelce know each other through the NFL, having both hosted Saturday Night Live and appeared together at Tight End University in Nashville in June. However, Fox News reports the like either disappeared or may never have existed, suggesting Kelce may have removed it under pressure or that the claim was unverified. Actor Dan Levy was among those who criticised Gillis, calling him a 'misogynist'.
