Steelers list DK Metcalf questionable for Sunday game

Summarised from 3 outlets · Updated 17 Oct, 00:02 · Archive

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf is questionable for Sunday's game against Tampa Bay Buccaneers due to an illness.

DK Metcalf did not take part in Friday's Pittsburgh Steelers practice and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers due to an illness.

The team has also ruled out receivers Roman Wilson (finger) and Ben Skowronek (calf) for the game. Michael Pittman Jr. is unavailable after going on the injured reserve list last week because of a foot injury. The Steelers are likely to dress at least two receivers from their practice squad, with Brandon Smith having already appeared in the previous week's win against the Indianapolis Colts.

Four other Steelers starters are listed as questionable: defensive tackle Keeanu Benton, defensive back Jalen Ramsey, cornerback Jamel Dean and running back Rico Dowdle. Indications are that each is expected to play in Tampa Bay. Dowdle and Benton were full practice participants on Friday, with Dowdle recovering from a dislocated toe and Benton improving after an ankle injury. Ramsey has played despite a wrist fracture and has been regularly limited in practice. Dean practised in a limited capacity and described himself as 'optimistic' about playing Sunday.
