Tom Welling accidentally posted a photo showing his naked reflection whilst sharing a New York skyline picture ahead of Comic-Con.

Tom Welling, the former Smallville star, accidentally posted a photograph to Instagram on Saturday showing a New York skyline view from his hotel window ahead of a Comic-Con panel in the city. A faint outline of his naked body was visible in the reflection of the glass. The post remained online for 10 hours before he removed it.

Welling has responded to the incident with humour. He commented on posts about the situation with laughing and heart emojis. Under one post from Hello Magazine, he cheekily responded: 'Not intentional, but still reflecting on it.' His Smallville co-star Michael Rosenbaum, who played villain Lex Luthor, also made light of the blunder by posting his own version of a hotel window photo with the caption 'Just looking after my boy'.

Welling played young Clark Kent across all 10 seasons of the Superman prequel, which aired until 2011. He attended the Comic-Con panel dedicated to the show as it marked 15 years since it ended. The actor has 2.2 million followers on Instagram.
