Musa Toure's second-half goal secured Macarthur FC a 1-1 draw against Newcastle Jets in the A-League Men.

Musa Toure's first goal for Macarthur FC secured the Bulls a 1-1 draw against A-League Men's premiers Newcastle at McDonald Jones Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Xavier Bertoncello gave Newcastle an early lead in the fifth minute, cutting past two Macarthur defenders from the left wing before firing a shot from the edge of the area.

Macarthur were second-best in the opening half but turned to their bench for reinforcement. In the 70th minute, substitute Ryan Fraser released Toure, who took one touch before firing past Newcastle goalkeeper James Delianov. It was Macarthur's first shot on target.

Newcastle coach Mark Milligan described the result as disappointing. Speaking to Paramount Plus, he said: 'Goals change games. You need to capitalise.' The Jets are now winless in their past seven competitive matches and face a midweek trip to Japan to continue their Asian Champions League campaign.
