Vice President Vance to hold midterm rally in Nebraska

Summarised from 2 outlets · Updated 18 Oct, 03:31 · Archive

Vice President JD Vance is visiting North Platte, Nebraska on Thursday for a midterm rally hosted by the Trump 47 Committee at the D&N Event Center at 10:30 a.m. CT. The visit comes more than two weeks before the midterms, as two prominent Nebraska Republicans face unexpectedly competitive races in what has long been a reliably Republican state.

U.S. Senator Pete Ricketts and Governor Jim Pillen are both in tight races. Ricketts faces independent candidate Dan Osborn, who previously ran against Senator Deb Fischer in 2024 and received 46.7 per cent of the vote to Fischer's 53.3 per cent. The rally follows a visit by President Donald Trump to Nebraska earlier this month.
