Cullingworth Cricket Club's beer festival will return on 24 October after a successful first year.

Cullingworth Cricket Club Beer Festival is returning for its second year on Saturday, 24 October, following a successful debut last October.

The inaugural event proved popular. Katie Holmes, the club's bar manager, said: 'It was really busy last year. We ordered around 150 reusable cups for everyone, and they had all gone within the first 45 minutes.' She added that organisers are 'definitely hoping for a similar turnout this year'.

The festival will feature two bars, including one built in the clubhouse, serving local beers from local breweries. Entertainment will include singers Vienna Welthy and Martin Hully, with The Final Edit Duo performing as a new addition this year. Ms Holmes described it as 'a community event' and said the cricket club is 'a very big part of the community'.

Tickets cost £8 to buy on the day and include a reusable cup and one free drink. Organisers hope the festival will become an annual tradition.
