Brickmakers pub in Swanmore reopens with new management

Summarised from 2 outlets · Updated 17 Oct, 11:32 · Archive

The Brickmakers pub in Swanmore has reopened under new management with a refurbished interior and new food and drink offerings.

The Brickmakers pub in Swanmore reopened last month under the leadership of Cathy Waite, Liam Kelly and Brooke Kelly, following a two-month refurbishment. The management team previously ran Steam Town Brew Co, a microbrewery in Eastleigh, while Brooke Kelly continues as head chef at The Filly Inn in Brockenhurst.

The pub now serves Steam Town beers alongside Goodens Gold from Flowerpots Inn & Brewery in Cheriton, with cocktails also introduced to the bar. Cathy Waite told the Daily Echo: 'The pub is looking stunning. The community here have been very welcoming and it's been a very positive start.'

Sunday roasts are already selling out each week. Popular dishes from the daily menu include fish pie, lamb curry and ham hock with egg and chips. Waite said the team wanted the pub to serve both as a place for regulars to relax after work and for families to enjoy meals together. 'We're hoping the bar and restaurant will work well alongside each other and we're trying to build that community,' she said.
