Volkanovski defends featherweight title against Evloev at UFC 333

Summarised from Independent Sport's report · Updated 23 Oct, 16:28 · Archive

Alexander Volkanovski defends his featherweight title against unbeaten Movsar Evloev in the main event of UFC 333 at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi on Saturday 24 October. The 38-year-old Australian faces Evloev's tricky grappling style, with the bout described as potentially close given any decline in Volkanovski's performance could prove costly against a fighter known for narrow decisions.

In the co-main event, Petr Yan fights Merab Dvalishvili for the third time for the bantamweight belt. Yan previously avenged a loss to the Georgian by outpointing him in December. The early prelims begin at 3pm BST, with the main card starting at 7pm BST. In the UK, the card airs on TNT Sports, HBO Max, EE TV, Virgin Media, Amazon Prime Video and Sky Sports, while Paramount+ streams it in the US.
