Multiple football matches are being played across the Premier League, EFL Cup and Women's Champions League.

Multiple football matches are being contested across domestic and European competitions this weekend.

In the Premier League, Liverpool are in strong form heading into their match against Chelsea, having won three consecutive games ahead of a visit from reigning champions Arsenal on Super Sunday. Young Liverpool forward Rio Ngumoha is expected to feature after impressing in the Champions League and playing the final 13 minutes of Sunday's 2-0 victory over Brighton.

Manchester City and Brighton meet twice within a week, first in the EFL Cup and then in the league. Brighton arrive at the Etihad unbeaten in four games against City (two wins, two draws), their best run against the usually-dominant opposition. Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler is seeking to prove the club can consistently compete with the division's elite after recent setbacks.

In women's football, Chelsea face Roma in the Women's Champions League, with Roma's Italian striker Martina Piemonte posing a threat after a previous spell at Everton. Arsenal play Benfica in the Champions League, hoping their 2-1 win over Tottenham on Saturday marks the beginning of a turnaround after a difficult start to their season, during which they have won two of seven WSL matches.
