Grey's Anatomy season 23 premieres on ABC on 15 October with new cast members including James Wolk, Sarah Levy and Martin Martinez.

Grey's Anatomy returns for its 23rd season on Thursday 15 October at 10pm ET on ABC. The season opens with a maritime collision that sends critically injured patients to Grey Sloan medical centre just as a new VIP floor is set to open.

New cast members joining the medical drama include James Wolk as Seth Norton, described as a 'handsome, arrogant surgeon-turned-businessman whose focus on the bottom line never wavers'. He is joined by former Schitt's Creek star Sarah Levy and Never Have I Ever's Martin Martinez. Ellen Pompeo returns as Dr Meredith Grey in a reduced capacity, with romance possibly developing between her character and Wolk's new VIP floor boss.

Longtime cast members Kevin McKidd and Kim Raver, who played Owen and Teddy Altman respectively, have officially left the series after season 22. Viewers can watch live via cable login on ABC or the ABC app. Those without cable can use live TV streaming services including Fubo, YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, DIRECTV, or Sling TV, many of which offer free trial periods.
