Netflix drama Black Doves returns Thursday with Keira Knightley reprising her role as Helen, a Prime Minister's wife and covert operative.

Netflix drama Black Doves returns Thursday with the second season of the acclaimed spy thriller. Keira Knightley reprises her role as Helen, the wife of the Prime Minister who leads a secret life as a member of the covert Black Doves organisation. Sarah Lancashire returns as Mrs Reed, the cold and calculating head of the Black Doves group.

This season raises the stakes considerably. After Helen reaches the pinnacle of her position as a spy at the heart of government, her handler Mrs Reed goes missing. This leaves Helen in a precarious situation without her professional ally. Helen's friend Sam also returns to help in the search for answers.

Neve Campbell, known for Scream, and Ambika Mod, who appeared in the Netflix drama One Day, join the cast this season. According to writer, creator and executive producer Joe Barton, Helen must navigate her high-stakes double life while dealing with Reed's disappearance, balancing her duties as a wife and mother with her undercover work.
