Actress Melanie Walters and partner Aljaž Škorjanec were eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing 2026 in week three.
Melanie Walters, best known for playing Gwen West in Gavin and Stacey, has been eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing 2026. The 64-year-old actress and her professional partner Aljaž Škorjanec received the second-lowest score in week three during Saturday's live show with 17 points for their Charleston to 'Ooh Ahh… Just A Little Bit' by Gina G.
Craig Revel Horwood said he 'didn't love' the routine, whilst Motsi Mabuse encouraged Walters to 'keep going'. Following the public vote, Walters and Škorjanec found themselves in the dance-off against Shaun Wright-Phillips and his partner Alexis Warr, who had recorded the lowest score of the week with 15 points for their quickstep.
After both couples performed again during Sunday's results show, the judges delivered their verdicts. Motsi Mabuse chose to save Walters, but Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke, and Craig Revel Horwood all opted to keep Wright-Phillips and Warr in the competition, resulting in Walters and Škorjanec's elimination.
Walters will appear on It Takes Two on Monday. Sunday's episode also featured a special group performance with judges Ballas and Du Beke taking to the dancefloor, as two teams of professional dancers competed in a ballroom versus Latin showdown. Musician Jalen Ngonda performed his song 'Burning Temptation', accompanied by professional dancers Neil Jones and Lethabo Monametsi.
