Bethany Antonia and Nancy Xu were eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing after losing a dance-off.
Bethany Antonia and Nancy Xu have been eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing after losing in the dance-off on the 7 November results show. The judges were split, with head judge Shirley Ballas casting the deciding vote in favour of their opponents, former Love Island contestant Cach Mercer and Maddie Ingoldsby.
Antonia and Xu reprised their foxtrot to Leona Lewis' Bleeding Love, which had scored 30 points on the live show, placing them joint fourth before public votes. Mercer and Ingoldsby's waltz to That Ain't You by Mulaa Joans had scored 26, putting them joint bottom based on judges' scores. Judges Anton Du Beke, Motsi Mabuse and Craig Revel Horwood disagreed on who should leave.
Dani Dyer and Nikita Kuzmin topped the leaderboard with a score of 36 for their American smooth, securing their first 10. Tabby Stoecker and Mark Karmalita were close behind after scoring 33 for their Paso Doble.
During the results show, the Strictly professionals performed a group routine choreographed by Lizzie Gough to Peter Gabriel's arrangement of David Bowie's Heroes, depicting British soldiers leaving for war and inspired by The Monument To The Women Of World War II. The programme also featured music from Gregory Porter, accompanied by a performance from professional dancers Alexis Warr and Aljaz Skorjanec.
