Norwich City FC has partnered with The Royal Foundation of the Prince and Princess of Wales to promote the 'On Your Side' suicide prevention toolkit across the organisation. The club will host a matchday takeover at Carrow Road during an upcoming fixture, placing suicide prevention at the centre of the matchday experience. The campaign's branding will appear on the front of the club's shirts for the dedicated fixture, with principal partner Blakely Clothing donating its sponsorship space for the purpose.
Zoe Webber, executive director at Norwich City, said: 'At Norwich City, we recognise the important role a football club can play in supporting the wellbeing of its communities, and we are proud to be partnering with The Royal Foundation on the On Your Side campaign.' She added that the initiative has 'the potential to make a meaningful difference both within our club and across the wider community'.
The toolkit was launched in September at an event in Liverpool by the Prince of Wales. It aims to equip the sports community with practical tools and confidence to support suicide prevention efforts. Karen Hodgson, associate director of The Royal Foundation, said: 'Football has a unique ability to bring people together and Norwich City's commitment will enable more people to recognise when someone may be struggling, start a conversation and connect them to support.'
