Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards says his team will win an NBA championship this season.

Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves has expressed confidence that his team will win an NBA championship. Speaking to the Associated Press, Edwards said: 'I don't really have hope. I just got will. I'm just all will.' He added: 'I don't think he's better than me. I don't think that they can beat me and my team. It's just that simple. Whoever we line up against, you just not going to sit here and tell me that their team is going to beat our team.'

Edwards acknowledged that the NBA is in a 'parity era', with eight different franchises winning the last eight championships. New York won last season, ending a 53-year drought. Oklahoma City won the year before, Boston won in 2024, Denver in 2023, Golden State in 2022, Milwaukee in 2021, the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020 and Toronto in 2019.

Edwards' statement suggests confidence from a star player ready to lead his team to a breakthrough season in this competitive landscape.
