WWE's Crown Jewel premium live event takes place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia this weekend with champion versus champion matches.

WWE's Crown Jewel premium live event takes place this weekend at the ANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The eighth edition of the annual event returns to Saudi Arabia after last year's show was held in Perth, Australia.

The main event sees Raw's world heavyweight champion Roman Reigns face SmackDown's Undisputed WWE champion Sami Zayn to determine who becomes the Crown Jewel champion. This will be their first one-on-one match since WWE Elimination Chamber in 2023. The two were once aligned, with Sami joining The Bloodline in 2022, but their relationship soured after Roman accused Sami of betrayal. The conflict escalated at Royal Rumble 2023, when Sami attacked Reigns with a chair but was then attacked by other Bloodline members. Sami has since made clear he wants to be seen as Roman's equal, recently kicking Reigns in the face on Raw.

Women's World Champion Liv Morgan also faces WWE Women's Champion Chelsea Green in a champion versus champion matchup. Morgan could become the first wrestler to win Crown Jewel twice, having won it two years ago. Chelsea has personal motivation after Morgan sabotaged her during a recent match with Roxanne Perez.

The event also features a tag team titles match in which Money in the Bank winner Penta teams with Je'Von Evans against 'The Vision', Bron Breakker and Austin Theory. Penta could potentially leave as a double champion if he cashes in his contract.

The event had generated security concerns following attacks in the region by Houthi forces. The venue was changed from the Riyadh Season Stadium to the indoor ANB Arena due to those concerns, but the show is proceeding as planned. UK fans can watch on Netflix at 5pm on Saturday, 6 November.
