York's Chocolate Story is hiding 100 chocolate bars across the city, with a year's supply of chocolate as the top prize.
York's Chocolate Story in King's Square has launched a city-wide chocolate hunt from 28 October to celebrate the shop and café's recent refurbishment. The attraction is hiding 100 chocolate bars—each a 90g bar—across York, with one containing a year's supply of chocolate as the top prize.
More than half the hidden bars contain vouchers for additional prizes. These include vouchers for 25 free hot chocolates, 25 free Classic Guided Tours and five teddy bears. The hunt is timed to coincide with the school half-term break.
Stuart Wood, general manager at York's Chocolate Story, said the shop wanted to 'celebrate our new look by doing something fun that brings a little extra chocolate magic to the streets of York this half term'. The shop will share clues on Instagram, and hopes the hunt will encourage people to explore York's locations, 'discovering some of its iconic locations and perhaps stumbling across somewhere new along the way'.
