Summarised from 2 outlets · Updated 25 Oct, 07:07 · Archive

Two Albanian men are to appear in Norwich Crown Court on 28 October after a cannabis factory with around 100 plants was discovered in Great Yarmouth.

Two Albanian men have been charged with cannabis production after officers discovered a factory with approximately 100 plants growing in several rooms at an address on School Road in Great Yarmouth.

The arrests followed a police pursuit of a car that failed to stop near Gapton Hall Retail Park on 29 September. The driver was caught and arrested, then taken to Great Yarmouth Police Station for questioning. Following further investigation, officers executed a warrant at the School Road address, where a second man was arrested.

Emirjon Dahija, 36, of no fixed abode, and Egli Hallidri, 26, of School Road Back, have both been charged with production of cannabis. Dahija faces additional charges of immigration offences, driving without a licence and driving with no insurance. Hallidri is also charged with immigration offences. The pair have already appeared at Norwich Magistrates' Court earlier this month and are due to appear at Norwich Crown Court on 28 October.
