Amanda Owen says her nine children are pursuing different paths, leaving it unclear who will eventually live at and manage Anty John's farmhouse.

Amanda Owen has said that her nine children's diverging life plans are complicating the future of Anty John's, the centuries-old farmhouse her family has been restoring for three years near Ravenseat in Swaledale. Speaking at the Our Farm Next Door: A Behind-the-Scenes Celebration at Everyman Northallerton on 30 September, Owen discussed how quickly her children's circumstances were changing, with some wanting to pursue university education, others starting businesses and some hoping to continue farming.

Although Anty John's has been described as the family's new home, Owen revealed that it has not yet been decided who will live there. She said: "It's not been decided yet about who will live at Anty John's. We've taken up loads in the Land Rover and moved some stuff in, but we still don't fully know who is going to live there."

Owen and her former husband, Clive, watched their nine children grow up on Our Yorkshire Farm, which was broadcast to millions of viewers. Reuben and Edith are among those charting their own courses; Reuben has developed his interest in machinery into a heavy plant and machinery business.
