Teenage triplet brothers fronting Perth band Birdland are completing their final Year 12 exams while pursuing a music career.

Eighteen-year-old triplet brothers Francis, Oscar and Conrad Cvitan front emerging Perth band Birdland and are completing their final ATAR exams this week. The Mt Lawley Senior High School students are among more than 13,000 Year 12 students sitting the exams. Francis (lead vocals and guitar) and Conrad (drums) will sit ancient history on Thursday, followed by English on Friday, with Oscar (backing vocals and bass) sitting one exam later.

Over the past year, the brothers have balanced their studies with performing for crowds at festivals, touring Australia and releasing a debut EP. They are sitting exams just days after performing at the Good Day Sunshine festival at Margaret River on Saturday. The brothers said they were determined to finish their ATAR studies despite having no immediate university plans while launching a music career.

Conrad said it 'never felt like an option to not do ATAR and finish it'. Oscar admitted it had been tough to stay motivated about school work knowing they had no immediate university plans. Francis stated: 'I'm pretty dead set on music. But, if worst comes to worst, whatever happens in the world, we will have our ATAR score.'
