Former Red Bull Formula 1 boss Christian Horner has described a 'very difficult period' whilst facing an investigation into allegations of inappropriate behaviour.

Christian Horner, the former Red Bull Formula 1 boss who lives near Banbury on the Oxfordshire border, has described a 'very difficult period' whilst facing an investigation into allegations of inappropriate behaviour made by a female colleague in 2024. He denied the allegations, which were dismissed following an independent investigation, with a subsequent appeal also dismissed.

Speaking on the Up To Speed podcast, Horner said the investigation occurred as Red Bull was building an engine and preparing to defend a championship for the 2024 season. He described the uncertainty of the process but said he 'stuck to my principles and believed in the process'. He added: 'I spent my time, I went through the process, they came to a conclusion, they dismissed all the allegations.'

Horner addressed the toll the intense scrutiny took on his family and his marriage to former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell. He said media leakage put his family 'in the spotlight and the media circus' and that the experience tested him 'as a person, as a character, and the strength of your family and your partner and your wife'.
