Music producer Jack Antonoff has criticised Ed Sheeran's handling of the removal of rapper Macklemore from his Loop tour.

Music producer Jack Antonoff has criticised Ed Sheeran's response to the removal of US rapper Macklemore from his Loop tour. Macklemore was dropped after expressing support for Palestine on stage during the ongoing conflict with Israel.

Antonoff, frontman of Bleachers and a prominent music producer who has worked with Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey, Lorde and Sabrina Carpenter, told The Guardian that Sheeran should have taken stronger action. He argued that Sheeran 'missed a massive, beautiful opportunity' to cancel the entire tour and play for free outside each venue instead, raising money in the process.

Sheeran has insisted he was 'not complicit' in Macklemore's removal from the tour. Following the rapper's departure, all four of Sheeran's support acts dropped out in solidarity with Macklemore.
