Malvern's FEAST Festival is marking its 10th anniversary with its largest programme to date, running from November 6 to 15.

Malvern's FEAST Festival is celebrating its 10th anniversary with what organisers say is its most ambitious programme to date. Running from November 6 to 15, the Festival of Equality in Arts and Society through Theatre has grown from a two-day 'shoestring' event into a 10-day celebration involving nationally and internationally recognised performers, alongside emerging artists and local creatives.

Co-founders Michelle Pogmore and Tiffany Hosking said the festival was founded on a simple belief that theatre should be open and accessible to everyone. 'FEAST was born from our love of theatre in all its raw, bold and unruly glory, and our belief that theatre should be a place where everyone belongs,' they said. They added that they want FEAST to be 'adventurous and surprising, but also welcoming, generous and rooted in our community'.

Confirmed highlights include award-winning writer Sam Ward and acclaimed dance company Impermanence Dance, which will perform at Malvern Theatres as part of its own 10th anniversary celebrations. Other events include a first-ever theatre performance at Escape to the Lake on Riverlands Farm, and a parkour event held in the foyer of Malvern Theatres supported by the University of Worcester.

Ms Hosking said FEAST has helped artists develop their careers, pointing to one performer who began by presenting a short scratch performance on a Friday night and is now appearing on the 800-seat stage at Malvern Theatres.
