Clarkson's Farm star calls Jeremy Clarkson a father figure

Harriet Cowan, who temporarily replaced Kaleb Cooper on Clarkson's Farm series four, has described Jeremy Clarkson as a 'father figure'.

Harriet Cowan, a 25-year-old farmer and former nurse, joined the fourth series of the Prime Video programme Clarkson's Farm as a temporary replacement for farm manager Kaleb Cooper while he was away on a nationwide tour. She worked alongside Jeremy Clarkson at Diddly Squat Farm, near Chipping Norton.

Speaking to the Daily Express, Cowan described Clarkson as 'a father figure that didn't know anything about farming'. She explained that Clarkson is a similar age to her own father, but their farming dynamic was reversed, with Cowan often having to take the lead and teach him. 'He's a very similar age to my dad, but he was the opposite of my dad because my dad's the one that has the knowledge and we sort of learn from him,' she said.

Cowan praised Clarkson for listening to her advice and learning during their time together. 'I've genuinely thought, now he is such a great farmer and he can actually, somewhat do some farming. So I feel like we're winning in that respect,' she said. She described the experience of teaching him in the traditionally male-dominated farming industry as 'very empowering' and said she was surprised by his willingness to listen despite their age and background differences.
