A 35-year-old man was shot dead at a pub on Hertford Road in Enfield on Monday 19 October.
A 35-year-old man was shot dead at the Sun and Woolpack pub on Hertford Road in Enfield at around 9.30pm on Monday 19 October. Emergency services including armed police and London's Air Ambulance attended the scene. Despite treatment by paramedics for gunshot wounds, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have released CCTV images of a person they wish to identify and speak to in connection with the investigation. Detectives said it is unclear at this early stage whether the person in the image is a man or woman, or if they may be wearing a disguise.
Detective Chief Inspector Allam Bhangoo, leading the investigation, said: 'Our thoughts are with the victim's family and friends at this unimaginably difficult time as they begin to come to terms with this senseless act. We are releasing CCTV images of a person we would like to identify and speak to in connection with the investigation as our enquiries progress swiftly.'
Detectives are appealing for information from anyone who was in the area at the time or who may have CCTV, doorbell, dashcam or mobile phone footage. 'Even information that may seem insignificant could prove crucial,' DCI Bhangoo said. 'No piece of information is too small, and I would urge anyone who believes they can help to contact police.'
Chief Superintendent Anna Mccartney said officers were working urgently to identify and trace those responsible. 'Serious violence has no place in our community, and the Met remains fully committed to tackling gun crime,' she added.
No arrests have been made and a crime scene remains in place while investigations continue. The victim's family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
