An interactive map documents 164 reports of wedge-shaped UFO sightings across the UK between 2021 and 2026.

An interactive map compiled by research group UFO Identified has documented 164 reports of wedge-shaped UFO sightings across the UK between 2021 and 2026, out of nearly 2,000 total UFO reports logged during this period. Manchester has emerged as a UFO hotspot with 245 total sightings in the city and surrounding area, whilst London follows closely with 197 sightings over the five years.

Witnesses across the country have reported seeing dark, matte triangles gliding soundlessly at low altitude over housing estates, farmland and coastal areas before darting away at high speed. The Daily Express reports that the most recent sighting of this kind occurred on 22 July, when a large black triangle with red lights on each of its points was witnessed hovering over Stretford in Greater Manchester for approximately half an hour. Other sightings include a perfect triangle spotted speeding above Chesterfield, a black V-shaped boomerang recorded over the Fylde coast in Lancashire, and a soundless black wedge above Exmouth in Devon.

While triangular sightings make up roughly one in every 12 reports, the bulk of British UFO sightings involve orbs, spheres and star-like objects. The Pentagon recently released declassified files on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena following an executive order signed by Donald Trump, including an account from two federal agents at a US sensitive national security site in June 2026 who reported a matte-black triangular object with a 15-foot wingspan hovering silently about 300 feet in the air before descending into a canyon at high speed without leaving an exhaust trail.
