Biggin Hill pub owners step back after nine years

Summarised from 2 outlets · Updated 10 Oct, 20:13 · Archive

The owners of The Black Horse in Biggin Hill are selling the pub after nearly nine years to spend more time as a family.

The owners of The Black Horse in Biggin Hill are stepping back from the business after nearly nine years to 'spend more time together as a family'. Nimisha and Vijay Limbachia have run the pub since November 2017 and have put it up for sale at a guide price of £75,000 as new landlords are sought.

The owners told the News Shopper: 'We have been proud to serve the Biggin Hill community since November 2017, and we have loved every moment of it. Over the years, we have shared in many of the community's happiest memories and stood by people in their times of hardship. We have worked hard to turn the Black Horse into a warm, welcoming family pub, where youngsters come in for their first drink with their families, and little ones drag their parents along so they can play in the play area.'

The 19th-century pub, located in Main Road, is the closest pub to Biggin Hill Airfield and was formerly a pair of cottages. Estate agent Sidney Phillips is marketing it as a 'profitable free-of-tie business with scope for food' and 'spacious' three-bedroom accommodation on the first floor. The pub features a bar, games room and snug, as well as a garden area seating between 90 and 100 people and a car park.
