Hays Travel gets approval for Felixstowe shop front
Summarised from 2 outlets · Updated 25 Oct, 17:31 · Archive
East Suffolk Council has approved Hays Travel's plans to install a new shop front at the former Santander branch in Hamilton Road, Felixstowe. The travel agent, which already has branches in Ipswich and Stowmarket, will occupy the premises left vacant after Santander closed its branch last year.
The company applied for permission to install the new shop front before opening the branch. A spokesman said the new outlet would offer tailor-made, all package holidays with a social media package to be set up for the account. He said the agent had recruited five or six staff for the new branch.
The new Felixstowe branch will operate Monday to Friday from 9.15am to 5.30pm, Tuesday from 9.30am to 5.30pm, Saturday from 9.15am to 5pm, and Sunday from 10am to 3pm, matching the hours of the Ipswich shop.
