Comedian Paddy McGuinness has created a steak pie with Greenhalgh's Craft Bakery to raise funds for Derian House Children's Hospice and Bolton Hospice.

Comedian Paddy McGuinness has partnered with Greenhalgh's Craft Bakery to create the Steak and McGuinness Pie as part of the bakery's 70th birthday celebrations. The pie is now available in all Greenhalgh's stores, sandwich vans and online, with all profits donated to Derian House Children's Hospice and Bolton Hospice. The bakery aims to raise £70,000 through the campaign.

Young people and staff at Derian House last week took part in a taste test. When asked what they liked about the pie, Liam, 24, said: 'All of it!' Whilst Evan, 19, added: 'It's really nice with steak in the middle.' Arron Taylor, who works with young people at the hospice, said: 'I didn't realise a pie could taste so good coming from Bolton, I thought it was only a Wigan thing.'

Ellie Leavesley, community fundraiser at Derian House Children's Hospice, said: 'Paddy's pie is a proper winner all round, and it's great to see a Bolton favourite and a local business come together to help raise vital funds for our children, young people, and families.' She explained that the hospice requires £6 million to run this year and that donations are essential to its work. Derian House, based in Chorley, supports more than 400 babies, children and young people from across the North West.
