GRO Plant Studio has opened in Stocksfield, offering houseplants, gifts and hands-on creative workshops.

GRO Plant Studio has opened at South Acomb Farm in Stocksfield, offering more than a traditional plant shop experience. The shop features a curated selection of houseplants, unusual varieties and botanical gifts, with an upstairs 'Plant Lab' dedicated to interactive workshops.

Launched by Victoria Cox and her husband Mark, who spent several months transforming the space with vintage furniture and unique pieces sourced across the North East, the studio will host terrarium-making sessions, children's parties, creative workshops, private group events and seasonal activities including Christmas wreath-making classes. Victoria said the shop aims to be 'somewhere people can come not just to buy plants, but to spend time, get creative, learn something new and enjoy a slightly different experience'. Her love of plants began in childhood, inspired by her late father.

The official grand opening is on Saturday, November 7, from 11am to 5pm, with special offers including half-price mini terrarium-making sessions for £6 and a prize draw for a private family terrarium-making experience.
