Three Wiltshire food and drink producers have been recognised among the best in Britain after winning medals in the 2026 Great British Food Awards.
Moos on Thames took Gold for its Organic Milk, produced from its herd of New Zealand Friesian cross Jersey cows. The business is run by Chris Freeth and his wife Jenny at Manor Farm, Waterhay, Leigh, near Swindon. The company also operates coffee shops in South Cerney and Cirencester, the Wild Fig Deli in Cricklade and vending machines at Manor Farm and Cotswolds Lakes Brewery in Somerford Keynes.
Marshfield Farm Ice Cream won two awards. Its Marshfield Farm Moment in Milk Chocolate won Silver, while its Salted Caramel version took Bronze. The company's marketing manager Jess Atkinson said the new Moments product range, described as a classic ice cream dipped in chocolate on a stick, was only released at the start of the year. She added it has also won awards from Taste of the West and their wholesalers and distributors.
Hollychocs in Poulshot, near Devizes, received Bronze for its Caramel Collection. The business is run by Holly Garner, 37, who established the company after working for Cadbury in Birmingham and Australia. Garner said: 'We are absolutely delighted. It means so much to be recognised for something that is core to our foundation and to be recognised at such a high level.'
Hollychocs has received more than 50 industry awards, including recognition as a Great Taste producer by the Guild of Fine Food, and was named Wiltshire's Independent Food Producer of the Year in 2023.
