Real Madrid defeated Barcelona 2-1 in La Liga, with Kylian Mbappé scoring twice.

Real Madrid defeated Barcelona 2-1 in La Liga on Sunday at Camp Nou in front of over 60,000 spectators. Kylian Mbappé scored both goals for the visitors. Madrid's first goal came in the 41st minute when Barcelona defender Gerard Martín attempted to clear a cross by Yan Diomande, but his low clearance deflected off Mbappé and ricocheted into the net.

Barcelona had an opportunity to equalise before halftime when Lamine Yamal, the 19-year-old Barcelona forward, found himself alone in the penalty area after a pass from Fermín López. However, Yamal's shot from near the corner of the six-yard box went wide of the post, a rare miss for the player known for his attacking prowess.

The victory marked Jose Mourinho's first match in charge of Real Madrid at Camp Nou since returning to manage Barcelona's fiercest rival. Both Mbappé and Yamal are contenders for the Ballon d'Or award, which is to be announced in London on Monday.
