Hintlesham Hall near Ipswich has launched a seasonal autumn tasting menu featuring British produce from its kitchen garden.

Hintlesham Hall, a Grade I listed country house hotel near Ipswich, has launched A Taste of Autumn, a new seasonal tasting menu designed to showcase the best of British produce. The menu features ingredients from the hotel's kitchen garden, picked fresh each day where possible.

Head chef Lee Cooper, a Certified Master Chef of Great Britain, said there was something special about cooking in autumn. 'We're at the tail end of summer, when the evenings start drawing in and people begin craving those home-cooked flavours that make autumn food so comforting,' he said. 'We wanted to take that feeling and bring it into the dining experience at Hintlesham Hall, using beautiful seasonal ingredients and familiar flavours but giving them a little more creativity and refinement.'

Guests are welcomed with Hall-baked bread and an amuse-bouche before enjoying a Crown Prince squash velouté, seared Orkney scallops, and Great Livermere venison. The meal continues with roast brill and finishes with an apple tarte and a homemade Tunnock's Teacake. An optional Cropwell Bishop's Stilton course is also available. A seasonal afternoon tea has also been introduced to complement the tasting menu.
