HS2 completes final viaduct span over M42 motorway

HS2 has completed lifting the final viaduct span over the M42 motorway at Water Orton.

All six viaduct spans that will carry trains over the M42 are now in place following the work. The motorway reopened at around 4am as planned, though further construction remains with another closure scheduled for 23–26 October.
